I accidentally took a nap today on my commute home from school. I made a mini vlog about it.
As I’ve said before I commute about two hours from home to school, and two on my way home. I ride the max as part of my commute. If you don’t know what the Max is, it is Portland, Oregon’s train that is similar to a subway, but is above ground and runs on the street. It’s pretty cool.
This week’s Daily Post photo challenge is Jubilant. When I was thinking of what picture I wanted to use for this challenge I immediately thought of my younger brother Joseph. I have talked about him before in a couple of other blog posts. He is eight years old, has Autism and diabetes, and he is non verbal.
I was able to capture a few rare moments. He was laughing and smiling. He doesn’t smile or laugh very often. I originally thought of the one where he’s wearing sunglasses and smiling. I found a couple more on my Facebook of him smiling as well. The pictures are a couple to a few years old.
He loves going on the swing. He gets very excited and start to laugh sometimes when he’s swinging. I was able to capture one of those moments.
The bottom picture of him and myself was just a random chance. I like to try to take selfies with him once in a while. Lately he just shoves my iPad away and wants to be left alone. I guess I catch him at bad times. I still try to take pictures with him whenever I can.
Joseph is usually very happy, he just doesn’t show it very often. I love these rare moments.
I decided to add one more picture at the bottom. A picture of him content. He had just put my shoes on for some reason, I just thought it was kind of silly.
Just a random post because I can’t think of much else to say for today.
I haven’t been sleeping well lately. Sometimes it’s my fault because I don’t want to go to bed early like I’m supposed to. I stay up until one in the morning when I have to wake up at 5:30.
Sometimes it’s not my fault because I need a nap during the day when I don’t sleep long enough at night. Sometimes I sleep decently during the weekend, but for some reason I need a nap on Monday, which will make it hard for me to go to bed. Even if I go to bed early that night. I think I have missed three to four days of school because of my naps on Mondays.
I had a combination of not wanting to go to sleep, and a hard time falling asleep last night. That happens often as well. I know it’s my fault, but I feel crappy today. You would think I would I have have a sleeping schedule by now since it’s nearing the end of the term, but nope, I don’t.
Please excuse the rambling of this random post. Thanks for reading.
I was on the maxing heading home and I found Waldo!
Traveling in Portland, Oregon can be fun sometimes. You’ll. Ever know what you will find. I’m glad this was something pleasent and funny this time.
Meow again. I decided to make a cat ears headband. This was fairly easy and fast to make. I guess I’m more into cat things than I thought. I think they are pretty adorable. The cat ears are attached on pretty well and don’t move around.
The headband is adult size and is made of hard plastic. It is flexible enough it my head. Which is bigger than the average size adult. The cat ears are crocheted with 100% acrylic yarn.
I am currently selling them in my Etsy shop if you are interested in buying one. It is $5.99 in my shop. Click on the picture below, or on this link to go to my store: Cat Ears Headband.
