Numbers

This week’s The Daily Post’s challenge is numbers. When looking at my pictures at first it may not make sense, but when I explain a little bit you’ll see why I chose my pictures.

This is a close up of a hat I was working on.

This is a closeup of a small pile of buttons.

At first when I was thinking about this challenge I thought of having to show actual numbers, but when I thought about it more I chose not to. These pictures resembles the fact that when it comes to my crafting I am surrounded by numbers.

I use numbers when I crochet. The number of stitches I start with, how many stitches I have to increase or decrease, the measurement of the project I am working on, the size of hook, how many skeins of yarn I will need, how many yards of yarn I will need, and other things I can’t think of right now.

The buttons represent how many crafting supplies I have and need for projects. I have several skeins of yarn, an assortment of buttons, a few pairs of scissors (that I can’t keep track of), pieces of fabric, assortment of beads, wires, pliers, sewing needles, assortment of threads, amongst other types of crafting material.

When it comes to crafting I never stopped to think about how numbers are important. Not only for how many items I need to complete the project, but to the numbers required throughout the project as well.

I could go on and on to explain how numbers are important to crafting, but I won’t. I’m hoping I give a somewhat clear idea to numbers in crafting.

Thanks for taking time to read my blog. Take care!
