I tried crocheting with merino wool for the first time. Oh my gosh, I love it. Merino wool is so soft. It’s stretchier than normal yarn. The colors are so pretty. I just love it. I’m going to have a hard time going back to the cheaper stuff.
The size of these turned out to be for a larger sized hand. My hands are larger than average woman’s size and they fit me.
I love the yarn. It isn’t cheap though. It was $8.50 for a small ball. I had enough for the gloves, plus a little extra for if I wanted to add a pretty edging. I thought about it, but I decided to just stick with a simple project for my first use.
Down below is a picture of the yarn, and a picture of the fingerless gloves. I accidentally tore the label while looking at it.
I decided to put the gloves into my Etsy shop so somebody who knows about wool would be able to take care of them more than I can. I don’t know anything about merino wool. I found out that this particular yarn has a mixture of regular merino wool and super wash merino wool. That would make these hand wash only. They are cheaper than I would normally sell them for since I’m new to working with wool and they are simple.
